One of a series I painted in 2024 of New England Waterfalls I visited early fall of 2023. This is the first one I painted. It is the only one done in vertical format. I called this the welcoming image, I painted it with a large foreground of rock that would invite a viewer to move in mentally onto the rocks. The painting is one of only two in the series in oil. The vertical format allows a more open and less intimate appearance, it invites you to come in and sit mentally by the cool water. Sold first time it was showed on opening day in a solo show.
